I have been involved in Education, sport and fitness for over 20 years and am passionate about working with clients to achieve their health, fitness and self-care goals.
I have a strong training background working with a variety of clients, including women starting out with or returning to fitness. I co-founded the Comets a womens only fitness group based in Horbury and the surrounding areas where I lead running groups, beginners cycling and buggy walks. My work with women has led to a great number of successes with lots of women developing their fitness in a healthy and sustainable way and continuing to have a love of sports and fitness. Some group members / clients have used their newfound confidence and love of exercise to complete their own fitness leadership and coaching qualifications. Which is an amazing achievement 🙂
I’m also passionate about the positive benefits of exercise on mental health and volunteer leading activity sessions for a local recovery college programme. I am also part of the team who set up and co-ordinate ‘Mindful Movers’ a run/walk,& talk group promoting participation, support and encouragement for anyone dealing with mental health issues in the Wakefield area.
All my clients receive a dedicated and well considered programme with suitable guidance and encouragement to achieve their own goals. Most clients stay with me for the long term as I am fully invested in their health and progression. The results are clear to see. Clients express increased feelings of positivity, newfound energy, changes in body composition and how clothes fit and feel. I aim for clients to feel personal achievement and experience success, so strengthening their enjoyment of exercise and both the physical and mental benefits it brings.
